Digi-Star manuals and technical support

Free manuals for the Digi-Star (Digistar) indicators used on TMR mixers, and what to check before calling for service. If that does not solve it, we come to the feedlot.

Common problems and what to check

A good share of service calls can be resolved with a simple check at the feedlot.

Where do I download the manual for my Digi-Star model?

Every manual we publish is on this page, free to download and with no sign-up: 3400, 3405, 3410, EZ3200, EZ4600 and the RD2500V remote display, plus the technical documentation.

The scale will not return to zero after unloading

First check for material build-up stuck on the mixer structure or on top of the load cells — it is the most common cause and the easiest to fix.

If it is clean and the problem persists, it is usually loss of calibration or a fault in the load cell, cabling or mounting.

The reading drifts while the mixer is stopped

Not always a fault. An unstable reading with the mixer stopped can come from the data transmission speed between the load cell and the indicator, which must be configured for the mixer type and how the operation uses it.

It can also indicate a loose connector, damaged cabling or a load cell mounting problem.

The weight changes when I start or stop the tractor

That points to electrical interference or a grounding and power supply issue at the indicator. Note the exact moment the reading changes — that detail speeds up diagnosis considerably.

The mixer scale disagrees with the truck scale

Disagreement between the two is one of the most reliable signs that the mixer scale is out of calibration. Note the difference in kilos and in which direction (over or under) — that is the first thing we will ask for.

Ingredient runs short or leftover at the end of the day

A recurring shortfall or leftover means the recorded weight does not match the real weight. The error is small on each load but accumulates through the day — one of the most frequent reasons to bring calibration forward before the 3-month cycle.

Not solved? We come to the feedlot

We service any feedlot across Brazil — including equipment that was not purchased from us. Checks on load cell, cabling, connectors, mounting and full calibration.
